Spoonflower is kicking off 2021 with a packaging redesign! We were blown away by the thoughtful submissions from talented artists from around the world. The community voted and then the top 50 were voted on by Spoonflower employees to determine the top 5 finalists. After an interview process with the finalists, three winners were selected to be featured on Spoonflower packaging in 2021. We are delighted to announce that designs by luli_print, grace_andersson and stolenpencil will be displayed with orders later in the year. All three artists were also awarded $500 and $200 in Spoonflower credit.

An initial round of community voting gave us a really strong selection of designs to choose from. Equitability and inclusion are critical to oursuccess, so we included our entire employee communityin an additionalvoting round.I am thrilledto see these fiveoutstanding finalist designs! I think you will agree that, though these five artists come from different backgrounds and geographies, these designs all have one thing in common: COMMUNITY.

While we had every intention of updating our packaging this year with the winning design, the recent Shutterfly acquisition in addition to challenges with the packaging supply chain have unfortunately delayed our timeline.
