3. Use curved lines to trace the bottoms of the sleeves and the sides of the dress. Notice how it flares out widely at the hips.

4. Draw a wavy curved line to connect the two sides of the dress. Then, draw a second wavy line parallel to the first, enclosing a stripe.
Below the stripe, extend two short lines, and connect them with a wavy line. This forms another layer of the tiered dress.
5. Draw a wavy line parallel to the bottom of the second tier. Extend two more lines below this stripe, and connect them with a pair of wavy lines, forming a third striped tier. Contour the fabric of the dress using vertical lines.

8. Extend a long curved line and double it back upon itself to outline the girl's leg and high-heeled shoe. Band the foot with curved lines to highlight the body and strap of the shoe.
9. Draw the remaining leg and shoe. Notice that it is drawn at a different angle as if the girl's leg is perched on her toes.
