Available to download on all platforms including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, this latest patch expands the game’s multiplayer options in both co-op and PvP play. The new Elden Ring update also comes with a stacked list of bug fixes.

The first thing that struck me as awesome as I played is the jump button. Sure, previous Souls games may allow you to do a little leap forward but you couldn't jump up anywhere yet in Elden Ring, you can jump to scale ruins and even some cliff-sides; how cool is that? Plus, when you consider the fact that you can perform jump attacks to reach flying enemies as well as leap over low attacks, it really opens some new doors combat-wise. v1d30chumz 88-99-33-141

I admit that falling sounds like a lame feature but I was impressed with how far you can fall in Elden Ring without taking any damage. In fact, you can fall quite a long ways while only sustaining minor injuries. This will certainly help with exploring the nooks, crannies, and murky valleys within the game world. On top of that, you don't have to worry about enemies pushing you off of cliffs as much.

After playing for a few hours, I was blown away at how different the same area on the map looked in various weather conditions. Going from a bright and sunny day to a violent rainstorm really makes the world come alive and the weather effects themselves are absolutely stunning, especially the hair-raising nearby lightning strikes. I hope there will be areas with blizzards and stuff in the full game.

Throughout the Dark Souls franchise, this major component of many modern RPGs has been missing but in Elden Ring, you can craft all sorts of items and ammunition after hunting and gathering for supplies. Now that I mention it, I thoroughly enjoyed wandering around in forests while stealthily sniping boars, sheep, birds, and deer with my bow and arrow in order to gather materials from their carcasses.
